Concrete driveways

A driveway is the biggest slab most people ever pay for, and the one that fails most often when it’s done cheap. Spalling, cracks, water pooling where it shouldn’t — almost all of it traces back to what happened before the pour: the base, the drainage, the rebar, the control joints.

We spend the time on the part you can’t see, because that’s the part that decides whether you’re looking at a good driveway in fifteen years or a bad one in three.

What we do

The North Shore problem

Up here you get rain, grade, and a real freeze-thaw cycle — the three things that break concrete. A driveway that would last fine in a flat, dry climate spalls and heaves on a North Van slope if the base and drainage aren’t right. We build for the conditions that are actually here.
